APPS FOR i-PHONES

 

Evernote- This app will allow you to remember and organise all your thoughts and ideas, really all aspects of your life (free)

 

Home Routines - This is the ultimate to do list/timer/sceduler/reminder app you can click on the "accomplishments"  button to display every to do you have accomplished if you need a little motivation! (free)

 

Mind Node - This allows you to brainstorm & organise your thoughts in an intuitive way, so you can focus on the idea behind it. (£5.83)

 

Momento - keeping a private diary/journal has never been so easy. Momento helps you privately capture your daily activitie,thoughts,ideas,photos and combines them with your activity from social networks to create a  complete & unified timeline of your life (£1.47)

 

Koi Pond - A pond in which you control the ripples and fish with your fingers. It allows you to relax in any situation where there is a lot of distraction and you need some time out (58p)

 

Remember the Milk - Take your to-do-list anywhere with this feature packed app: never again forget the milk (or anything else)again.Remember the milk(RTM) for IPhone, IPod or IPad connects with the popular online service of the same name (free)

 

Dragon Dictation - This is an easy to use voice recognition apppowered by dragon, it allows you to to easily speak and instantly see your texts & emails, its 5 times faster than typing into your keypad (free)

 

2DO - You can use this app to manage simple reminders and checklists, as well as larger projects. 2DO also lets you organise your tasks by colour (5.83)This app ais also available on Android (3.40)

 

30/30 - This app allows you to set sequential countdown timers to walk you through your days tasks (free) This app is also available on Android.

 

APPS FOR ANDROID

 

Astrid Tasks - Allows you to share tasks via Email or Username (if they use Astrid). It notifies you when tasks you have assigned have been completed and allows both parties to comment on tasks,It also notifies you when a task is due and will not clear the notification until you either complete the task or snooze it.

 

Routinely - Simply click "today" and it marks your routine off. Also it lets you see how many times that month you have accomplished or missed your routine, this app also has a graph & widget feature that shows you how many routines are left for the day.

 

Mindjet - Mindjet is a mapping app and quite possibly a fovourite of many, it allows your mind to jump around and organize your thoughts. You can go back and forth between different sub-topics and you dont even have to worry about running out of room on the paper and ending up with a list that is vertually unreadable.

 

Mint - This is a financial management app

 

Most of the above apps are available free of charge 

 

If the internet is your Achilles heel then there is Freedom and Anti-social(Windows,Mac) The goal of Freedom is simple it is to give freedom from the biggest distraction in our live the INTERNET. Freedom can block an online connection for upto 8 hours, the timer runs via active computing minutes only, to prevent users from putting a computer to sleep in the hope that the timer will run itself down, it will block the connection to Twitter, Facebook, Youtube and other sites that take you away from your work and study this is available at a cost of £12.42
